Subject:
RapidTO lane restrictions on Bathurst is unfair to residents
Email Body:
Dear Councillor xxxx,
I am deeply concerned about the RapidTO plan to permanently remove all street parking on Bathurst Street.
This proposal is unworkable for the thousands of residents like myself who live on Bathurst — many of whom have no driveways and depend entirely on street parking for daily life. The City has not offered any realistic alternatives. Simply removing parking and telling residents to manage is not a solution.
I fully support better public transit. But this plan sacrifices basic residential access for the sake of speed, and it will create significant hardship — for seniors, families, visitors, and essential deliveries.
The process also feels rushed, with major decisions being made in a very short window without time for true public engagement. Residents deserve better.
Please stand up for Bathurst residents. Vote against permanent parking removal — and demand a fairer, better plan that balances transit improvements with the needs of those who actually live and work here.
Sincerely,
